SKI SKETT or the idea of cross country skis with wheels was conceived in the mid 1960’s in the workshop of an artisan Fabio Crestani, located in North – Eastern Italy, in Sandrigo (Vicenza), an area renowned for its industrial productivity. The Company was already known for the production of sporting equipments for tennis courts to which suddenly Fabio Crestani added the production of some prototypes of skis with wheels.
The company, founded in 1973 is still ongoing under the management of his son Carlo Crestani and since its debut has become one of the most popular best selling brands of roller skis in the world, with the brand SKI SKETT.
The Roller Skis
Even in the cold areas of Northern and Eastern Europe or in the areas of North America which are covered with snow for many months, cross country skiers need some way to practice their sport, even without snow, for long periods during a year. Roller skis were created to accommodate their needs.
Nowadays, roller skis are used by every elite level cross country skier, as well as by many athletes whose goal is to improve their training or fitness level.
The right Choice
Ski SKETT designs and manufactures a wide range of roller skis that is useful to know in such a way to select the right model suitable to its own characteristics and its own objectives. Two product lines are designed specifically for use with the technique of cross country skiing, also called training models; SPORT LINE, with roller skis very stable, suitable for all sports, and the ELITE LINE, indicated for advanced skiers. If you want to roller skiing on rough, off-road tracks, Ski SKETT presents the OFF-ROAD LINE, equipped with pneumatic wheels. To be competitive in roller ski races a special model is required to obtain those high speed; the RACING LINE.
All these lines have both classic and skating and they are always available with different speeds for adapting them to any needs.
The SPORT Line includes easy-to-use models for those new to the activity of roller skiing.
For CLASSICAL TECHNIQUE it presents two models the SPORT CLASSIC 2 and 3.
For SKATING TECHNIQUE it includes two-wheels models SPORT SKATE ALU and SPORT SKATE FLEX, dim. 30×80 mm, very stable and comfortable, but suitable for doing the lateral step. They are available with wheels of different speeds and hardness.
The ELITE Line is dedicated to the most demanding and professional athletes, who have a good technical knowledge in the specific discipline of the cross-country skiing.
For CLASSICAL it includes two-wheels models ELITE CLASSIC ALU and ELITE CLASSIC FLEX, dim. 40×74 mm, available in different speeds and hardness.
For SKATING, two models dedicated to advanced skiers, with its big wheels 24×100 mm, available in different speeds; ELITE SKATE ALU, ELITE SKATE FLEX.
